A tattoo shop's enquiries do not arrive like a plumber's. They arrive on Instagram at 1am, from someone who has been scrolling your portfolio for an hour and is deciding tonight whether to book with you or with the shop two neighbourhoods over.
And they are almost never ready. The same six questions come in over and over — what is your minimum, do you take walk-ins, how much for a half sleeve, does it hurt, can I bring a friend, how long does a deposit hold my slot — asked by people who mostly will not book. Which is exactly why an artist should not be answering them mid-session.
This is the rare case where the cheap tier is the right tier. Chat at US$0.15 a session absorbs the 1am volume, and the handful of conversations that are genuinely worth an artist's attention — a large custom piece, a cover-up, a client who needs reassuring — get routed to a person who knows which of your artists to hand it to.

Anything involving a person is a starting price. Two things move it: which languages you need, and how senior an agent the work actually requires — a bilingual agent handling refund authority is not the same hire as one taking bookings. AI voice and web chat are flat, because there is no hiring in them. And every model above is open to every business on this page: which one fits is a question about the shape of your volume, not about your industry.
Minimum engagement is half a seat — not a five-seat block. We also bill per resolved issue, from US$1, where you pay nothing if it is not resolved; that model fits businesses where a customer problem actually gets solved on the call, not businesses where the call is intake.

Healing complaints and refund requests
A client worried about how a piece is healing is anxious and half-decided about posting. That call needs someone who can listen, book them in for a look, and know when to escalate to you immediately.
Medical or safety questions
Anything about infection, allergic reaction, medication or fitness to be tattooed goes to a person, who books the follow-up rather than giving advice. Nobody on a phone line should be diagnosing skin.
